Turn Around Methods Engineer

As a Turn Around Methods Engineer Lead, you will be integral to the planning, scheduling, and technical reporting of Turn Around projects. You will not only be a key player in the execution of projects but also coach and develop your team with your expertise. Collaborating closely with the project management team, you will ensure that Turn Around projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in training and business development, helping to enhance our team’s capabilities and drive the growth of our Turn Around services.
Your key responsibilities
As a Turn Around Methods Engineer Lead, you will:
- Team Development:
- Leverage your expertise to develop and mentor the team, ensuring their growth and alignment with project goals.
- Coach team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in Turn Around/Shut Down projects.
- Scheduling Preparation:
- Develop scheduling concepts/plans for the entire project duration and facilities, aligning with stakeholder needs and project objectives/strategy.
- Data Management:
- Inventory, analyze, harmonize, defend, and maintain data structures, including Work Breakdown Structure and folder tree in Project Management tools (ROSER, Primavera, SAP, SharePoint, budgeting, and procurement follow-up tools).
- Cross-Department Representation:
- Interface with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments to represent the TA department in developing the Work Breakdown Structure.
- Propose process or tool improvements using LEAN methodology to enhance project management.
- Master Data Accuracy:
- Ensure the accuracy, uniformity, and completeness of master data, including resource information, project and activity codes, and enterprise project structure. Maintain consistency across block teams and between departments and disciplines.
- Training and Expertise:
- Develop and organize training programs, providing formal training for new employees. Guide teams on applying tools, processes, and practices effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in preparing and executing Turn Around/Shut Down projects.
- Skills:
- Excellent organizational and communication competencies.
- Strong team spirit and analytical mindset.
- Technical acumen and critical attitude.
- Proficient with IT tools such as MS Office; knowledge of Roser, Primavera, and SAP is essential.
- Languages:
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus or willingness to learn during the initial years of employment.

Context and Environment:
As part of the project team, you will be primarily responsible for the planning, preparation, and technical reporting of the upcoming Turn Around projects. Your role will involve ensuring demand-oriented, cost-effective, and timely planning of internal and external scheduling resources and tools across all project phases (pre-execution, implementation, and post-execution).
